Week 1

Digital Imaging has been one great experience. I have become very comfortable in the class, the teacher is great and extremely helpful, and I’m making friends. What I really like about this class is that it has been the class I been wanting to do for so long. I always wanted to play around with photoshop and have fun but now that I am doing it in a class, my goals are very reachable. Photoshop is just my speciality.

Week 2

The first 2 weeks were learning about the basics of photoshop and our main topic of discussion was Hyper-Realism. This was a brand new topic that my professor showed me and I will definitely keep it in mind and will use it for future use. Designing concepts and working with photoshop are the basics of what makes me happy in this class, and is finally the class I was looking for.

Week 3

In week 3 we finally got down our wordpress websites. I really like how we get to have our own blogs and website, something I am completely new too but falling in love with it more every time I use it. I feel like I am learning a lot new things in photoshop, websites and editing, public domain, urls, jpegs and so much more. WordPress will definitely be used in the future. Blog posts and more uploads to the site is very exciting for me.

Week 4

Our work and progress is finally all adding up to our final project. I have my mockups, progress, concepts and idea of what I am going to do. I have decided that the golfer on the moon is almost complete and the picture is wrapping out just fine, This will definitely be my favorite hyper-realism picture so far.

Week 5

Now that we have finally completed our final projects and concepts, my final picture has come out fantastic. I started with concepts, sketches, progress and then came to my final. Throughout all the learning and quick tricks of my professor and teachings, I really think this went well. I now think I have a great knowledge of hyper realism and sustainability.

Cubism

Week 6

This week we are jumping into a new topic called Cubism. Today, we are reviewing our homework which was to review and give feedback on our cubism concepts homework. Now cubism is new and will be a challenge for me, but I have strong confidence and a good approach to it.

 

 

Week 7

This week, we reviewed and dug a deeper view into cubism and our specific task we were assigned too. I have chosen my ps4 controller as my final concept, and picked up 5 primary colors. We also reviewed DPI, pen tool, stroke path tool and how to draw complicated in photoshop, as I like to put it. I go my sketches and concepts finalized so now I will start to work on it in photoshop. I think my project will turn out fantastic.

Week 8

So now, I finally have finished my pieces that are saved up and ready to be put together, I’d say I am close to being finished already. The color schemes really worked out well, and I think it went in perfect. Now this was a little challenging for me due to the fact that cubism is a new topic for me. but I am excited to know about it now and use it in the long run.

Week 9

So this is it, my final for cubim; a before and after. Class feedback and teacher feedback was beyond helpful and really made me bring my piece into a whole one. Now y other previous final sort of looked like a collage, so I did some quick edits and mark ips and it turned out just great, exactly like a cubism artform. Lesson for this week, feedback is mandatory and extremely helpful

Week 10

This week we started learning about motion, type and graphic in photoshop. Little did I know that you can make videos and animated gifs in photoshop, which opens up a whole new world to explore. Learning the tools was a bit tricky, but were going one step at a time.

Week 11

We are now getting more in depth with motion and type motion. I am starting to learn how to move simple objects, like a ball or a text. This leads to exploring the timeline of photoshop and each of its distinctive tools, such as transform, opacity and keyframes. We learned about the difference between animated movies and real ones, different types of videos and explorations and much more.

Week 12

I now have started to work more on how to make motion in photoshop. I worked on a little demo for an animated gif and absolutely nailed it! Demo is below. Now that I have the ability to understand and comprehend this, I now have decided upon my 5 concepts and have chosen to do the drug epidemic in America. I have all my ideas and assets almost all set and I have a good idea on how this is going to turn out. Basically, it is going to be like a PSA and it will describe how bad opioids are and how horrible it is damaging people and this country.

 

Week 13

So now that I have my video around 30 seconds, I am starting to feel more and more confident on my project. I am learning a lot of these new tools and keyframes. What I need to get next is all my pictures in the right spot. After that, I am basically almost finished because all I have to do is engage on where each picture is and the pan or motion of it. It very exciting to play with these new tools in the timeframe in photoshop!

Week 14

I have just started to wrap up and do the final edits for my film! I can’t believe I did it! It looks great to me. I learned so many new things about photoshop’s timeline and video editing. It is 100% necessary for the future and the long run, I can now challenge myself to take on new tasks and abilities. My film is about 1 minute long and I couldn’t be happier.
